An Oct. 1 swarm of earthquakes in Central California received media coverage from outlets including KTLA-TV Channel 5, KBS-TV, KTTV-TV Channel 11, and Channel 18. Quoted were seismologists Sue Hough and Ken Hudnut.

An Oct. 1 article on Bloomberg News quotes geologist Kerry Sieh on the possibility that the recent Sumantran earthquake was a harbinger of a larger tsunami-triggering quake in the region.
